What happens during a consultation?

When working with a client, my focus is on making all recommendations practical and realistic. Although I am based in London, I see clients via Zoom to allow me to see people from all over the world.

Before the first consultation, I will ask for a completed health questionnaire and 3-day diet diary to be returned to me before the initial meeting.

The initial consultation will take approximately 90 minutes and will include a thorough and detailed case history including all current and previous health concerns, family and medical history, symptoms across every system of the body, exercise and lifestyle habits as well as further questions regarding diet.

I will then send a tailored written plan, including diet and lifestyle suggestions, supplement recommendations (if appropriate), including some ideas for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as recipes for inspiration. Depending on individual cases, I may also suggest testing to be carried out either by your GP or privately.

Follow-up consultations are usually approximately four weeks later, where we check in, monitor progress and make any necessary adjustments. Depending on each case, further follow-ups may be required.

I encourage clients to work with me for a minimum of 3 sessions. This allows enough time to get to the root cause of the health concern, establish new habits around diet and lifestyle, as well as consider supplements and testing. The follow-ups maintain momentum, while allowing enough time for any changes and amends.

My focus is never about restriction and deprivation, but more about what can be added into the diet and how to bring enjoyment to mealtimes. My priority is to help people make better food choices and inspire them to create long term changes.
